Location & scope

This is a full-time position, based in Helsinki or London, with flexibility of remote work.

Roles & responsibilities

We’re looking for a full-time Sales Director to drive sales in our Corporate & Individuals business. The Corporate business is mainly executive programmes, coaching of top talent, manager training, and workshops. The Individual business is our top-of-the-line offering: a 12-month transformational journey including a healthspan-oriented medical check and a tailored team of wellbeing & performance specialists to bring your goals to life.

The new Sales Director can ideally get involved in both businesses but might become more focused on one over time. The geographic focus for this specific role is Finland, with potential international opportunities.

As Sales Director you will spearhead the expansion of our client base and secure new business opportunities.

  • Client acquisition: We expect this role to refine the ideal customer profile, develop and execute targeted sales strategies, and close new business. You are supported by marketing, experts and Account Directors, but we expect you to be bold, hungry, and client-oriented in your approach.
  • Consultative sales: The obstacle we often face is that ‘wellbeing’ can be felt as a nice-to-have. Yet, for every organisation it is business-essential in some way – for productivity, retention, burnout risk, customer satisfaction, employer brand, safety, or engagement. With each client, you will need to build the company specific story of wellbeing – and position Hintsa as the trusted partner to deliver on that promise.
  • Craft the solution: In our business, client impact starts in the sales scoping phase. You’ll need to work with our coaches, experts, and product team to build the client specific solution from the modules we have: assessments, workshops, trainings, coaching, and wellbeing strategy. You can rest assured that we receive fantastic client feedback scores – so you can focus on creating a smart service and commercial model upfront. When engaging with individuals considering an extensive performance & wellbeing programme for themselves, we expect you to embody the privacy and tact of a high-end concierge, rather than ‘a pushy salesman’.
  • Build and maintain relationships: With the story in place, you should establish and cultivate strong, long-term client relationships. While the day-to-day programme will be run by Account Managers, you should maintain contact with decision makers and help steer long-term direction if needed.
  • Contribute to international growth: While this role is primarily focused on Finland, we’re an international team, and have leads – businesses and individuals – from all over the world. We expect you to contribute to our international clients, stay on top of global industry trends, and contribute to brand building internationally. Our product development is highly customer focused, and we expect you to have a ‘growth hacking’ mindset, share insights from the customer interface, and give input to product innovation and development.
  • Champion company culture: At Hintsa we have our clients’ best interests in mind. Creating impact is deeply embedded in our culture, and we are proud to be recognised as a thought leader in our field. We value honesty, trust, transparency, efficiency and expect you to act as an ambassador for our value proposition: sustainable high performance.

Skills & experience

  • Sales experience: Minimum of 6 years proven (B2B) sales experience, e.g. in professional services or other types of consultative services, or high-end products.
  • Network: A robust network of professional connections within Finland, which can be leveraged to identify opportunities and drive growth. Connections in other Nordic countries or internationally are an advantage.
  • Degree or qualification in business, communications, marketing or another relevant area.
  • Self-driven strategist: You see the potential for growth, know how to best leverage a strong brand and thought leadership, and use that to get the foot in the door with our ideal clients.
  • Collaborator: You work seamlessly with internal teams to design and deliver impactful client solutions. You have a proven ability to build strong relationships with decision makers and close deals.
  • Health & performance interest: Experience in our industry is a plus but not essential. You need to have, however, an interest in wellbeing & performance. Perhaps you have a profound personal experience? Perhaps you have changed careers after a less-than-sustainable job? We expect you to gain content expertise fast, and maintain an up-to-date understanding of health and wellbeing trends, developments and statistics.
  • Native-level English: You have native conduct of the English language, written and spoken. Finnish is a significant plus, although not strictly needed if you can show experience with Finnish culture and clients. Swedish can be an advantage.

Who you will work with

  • Pekka Pohjakallio, Managing Director – Corporates & Individuals.
  • The Corporates & Individuals team: Account Directors, Performance Coaches, and medical staff.
  • Marketing, product development, and brand.
