Eleonoora Hintsa

Performance Coach
Master of Sport Sciences

I’ve always been intrigued by the connection between wellbeing and performance potential. Before officially joining the Hintsa team, I applied the holistic wellbeing approach to competitive sports, as a head coach for synchronized figure skating, working with 6 teams, 120 athletes, age ranging from 4-60 years. During my Sports Science studies I focussed on the impact of physical activity on cognitive performance and was impressed by the brilliance of our body-mind interlink. Since, I have become increasingly fascinated to investigate the relation of wellbeing-factors and cognitive performance, something I urge to continue with in the long run.

Another topic I’m determined to cultivate is successful behavior change. Why is it often so difficult to turn good intentions into actions and lasting habits? This question I began to unravel in my Master’s Thesis. Turns out it’s a lot more complex than originally envisioned. Looking at modern world statistics on prevalence of noncommunicable disease, it seems evident we need to start doing things differently if we want to thrive as humankind.Working at Hintsa Performance has an explicit personal value for me as well. It means continuing the legacy of my father, Aki Hintsa. It’s sharing his passion to help people. To see sustainable change leading to better life now and in the future.
