Ella & Mika Häkkinen
From father to daughter – a racing journey.
“I love racing because I just love the speed”
At 11 years old, Ella stepped into a go-kart and found her calling. The speed, the competition – it made her genuinely happy. But being a two-time F1 World Champion’s daughter means everyone’s watching and comparing your every move.
“I know I can win. I have the speed, and I’m pretty fierce and brave. I really know what I can do, so I put a lot of pressure on myself,” Ella explains.

Speed, support, and finding your own path.
Built to perform
“To be a father and a coach doesn’t work, I’m too emotional. You need someone very professional who can help your child find the best out of themselves”, Mika explains.
With her Hintsa team, Ella’s building the foundation her father discovered years into his career. “It’s really nice to have a team around you,” she says. “It brings me more motivation, more happiness.”
The Häkkinen legacy continues – and Ella is writing its next chapter on her own terms.
