87% annual growth for 10 years. Every waking hour, pushing forward. At 33, Jussi Palola became CEO of Virta Ltd, an electric vehicle charging company. Business was speeding up. But so was something else.
“Cholesterol, visceral fat, heart rate, sleep – multiple indicators showed that something radical had to change. Or it’s game over”, Jussi recalls.
The question was urgent: How do you lead what would be recognised by the Financial Times as ‘Europe’s long-term growth champion’, without burning yourself – and your team – out? Jussi reached out to Hintsa to support his leadership team.

An operating model, built to last.
The approach wasn’t what Virta leadership expected. “It wasn’t about how to perform better tomorrow or the week after,” Jussi explains. “It was about how to perform better today.”
The key was small changes – like hiding healthy snacks everywhere: car, office, briefcase, gym bag. “It worked from day 1.”
Working with his Hintsa coach Moriz, Jussi built something crucial: an operating model he could sustain. Even amid travel, time zones, and the demands of hyper-growth. “Moriz understood my world, understood high performance.”
Five years later, the effect lasts. “I truly can say this changed my life,” Jussi reflects. “It paid off from day one and even years later, this investment pays interest every day.”
