John Noonan

Performance Coach
BSc(Hons), MPhil

I am an accredited UKSCA strength and conditioning coach with over 15 years’ experience coaching in elite sport and in the public domain. To date, I have worked with a number of professional football and rugby union/league teams, Olympic ski and snowboard sports, golf and motorsport, specialising in the development of strength, power, speed and athletic development. Throughout the core of my work, I strive to provide a service underpinned by proven scientific methods delivered in a simple, practical manner that gets results. I look to help clients achieve sustainable success addressing core physical and mental elements linked with better performance in sport and life. Academically, I have an undergraduate degree in sports science and a postgraduate MPhil degree in applied sports biomechanics from Liverpool John Moores University, researching the performance requirements of elite Olympic freestyle snowsport athletes. Driven by ambition to continually improve the quality of service I offer, I regularly engage with the latest scientific research to broaden my knowledge and ability to provide real-world, applied solutions to enhance the client experience.

As a coach, I possess an engaging and enthusiastic coaching style and endeavour to educate through teaching. I feel passionate about helping my clients achieve growth in both physical and behavioural values, much as I continue to explore methods and areas to learn and improve my own personal and professional qualities. Outside of work I am fueled by the time spent with my family and staying in shape. Along with my wife Laila, our two daughters Scarlett and Ruby, and our dog Milo we lead a busy and exciting life as a young family. They drive my enthusiasm to be my best version each day. In terms of exercise, I thrive to train, experiment and push my body to explore new methods I can utilise with my clients, reducing injuries and optimising physical performance are my primary physical interests.
